Not sure what capacity
building is? Reach out to an FBR staff member for more details! Hint: FBR wants
you to be able to serve your clients to the best of your ability, so we
encourage you to do so by applying for funding.
Make Sure to Recertify CSFP Clients Every Six Months
Per USDA
regulations, a CSFP client must be recertified every 6 months. Once they’ve reached the mandatory
recertification date, this action must take place before they receive their
next monthly food box.
How do you know when
recertification is required?
Link2Feed: If your site is inputting
information within the L2F data base, you’ll see a red banner on the left hand
side with the note: Recertification Required — You
must recertify to continue. Recertification is required for
this particular CSFP Client. Please
complete the recertification process, issue the food box and then document on
the CSFP service tab. Note: Sometimes it’s easy to forget to perform the
CSFP service tab function after completing the recertification. It’s very important to note the food box
distribution!
Paper
Client Sign-In Forms: If
your site is collecting client signatures when issuing a food box, you’ll see a
notation of “Please Recertify” next
to the client’s name. Please complete the recertification process by using the CSFP Application form
followed by submitting recertification forms immediately to our office.
How do you recertify a client?
It’s
easy! Simply ask the participating
senior, “Has any of your information changed within the last 6 months?” As this program is “self-declaration”, there
is no need to mandate documents for proof of eligibility.
Paper
Client Sign-In Forms: If they state “No”, capture their signature
on page 2 of the CSFP Application. If
they state “Yes”, capture their updated information on page 1 of the CSFP
Application along with a signature.
Link2Feed: Link2Feed users, simply follow the
data base prompts and capture a signature.
The
CSFP Application must still be completed at this time. FBR & CDHS are working through processes
to move towards going “green” within the next fiscal year.
Note: If your site is interested in using
Link2Feed, contact our office to inquire about upcoming training sessions!
If we all work
together, we can make sure every eligible senior that needs a box, receives
one. Thank you for all you do!!!!
