holidays brighter for hungry families!
Freebies, Fast Loading and Full Vehicles
Don’t miss out on the free items! Be sure to arrive 20 minutes early for
your order pick-up so you can access food in the free area. We can only
accommodate shoppers who arrive early for their pick-up. Without the extra
time, you will need to quickly load your order without accessing the fresh
produce and bakery items in the free area. Come early so you’ll have time to
stock up on all the great free foods.
Can You Fit Everything You Ordered in Your
Vehicle? Bring the
appropriate sized vehicle(s) for your order on the days you pick up. When you
leave pallets behind, it slows down our ability to help other agencies, and
product may be inadvertently received by another agency. FBR reserves the right
to charge a restocking fee of $.02/pound for products left
behind because they won’t fit in your vehicle. Most often, 1,000 lbs of food is
equivalent to one pallet. Also, keep in mind, chips and cereal tend to be much
bigger in size and can take up more room than other cases. Your
careful planning helps your clients and allows helps us to serve everyone better.
Use Those Issued Food Credits, Move the Cheese and Turn in Your Papers
Remember to use your Food Credit ($50.00) for each USDA
program you participate in, every month. You will stop accruing if you reach
$150.00 so please don’t let that happen!! This is a free service (who doesn’t
love free money) we provide to help you meet your contractual requirement to
serve other food in addition to the USDA commodities you receive from us.
Attached is information on the cheese from the CSFP
boxes. Please encourage each client to take and use the cheese!!
There are also two recipes.
Make sure you turn in all your inventory and paperwork
for the TEFAP and CSFP programs no later than the 1st of the month.
We appreciate all your hard work and the great things
you're doing for our community.
